![]() If twitch studio had custom transitions and GDI+ I would happily keep it forever.Īt the end it’s all about personal preferences ! If I could do this with OBS, natively without dealing with plugins, then I would switch. Moved to twitch studio for the audio management (per apps audio management, ability to exclude apps audio from VOD, deafening discord from stream) Your set up all kind of depends on what games your playing too. If your laptop has a cam already though, might as well see how good that is instead though and maybe stick with it. It's like $60 usually and still doesn't look that bad starting out honestly. Most commonly used one is c920, everyone uses it. A cam actually does help to make some people stop in. So all you need is a good headset mic and of course a cam, if you want. Lasted me until I got a average desktop and then gaming PC. Had a wireless mouse and keyboard too, with a usb extender. Used the HDMI port hooked up to a tv and had it working just fine. Screen was all messed up, snapped really and so on. Believe it or not, I used my broken up laptop for so many years. Just depends how much your really looking to spend. ![]() Just look out for some good deals too, they have them around at times. So go for a PC, since you can just switch parts out after all. Laptops aren't worth it in the long run, unless your moving around a lot. Things will run better compared to Twitch Studios I would think, at least for me it does.Īs for suggestions on what you can use? I'd save up personally. Especially if your using a laptop that's a few years old now. I know I can easily go up to 8000 bitrate too, I don't on Twitch though. I can put 1080p 60 and whatever bitrate I want, no issue during it like I would have for some reason on Twitch studios. Plus it seems like it wants to force you to use 720p or lower, to make it work a little better I guess? Never had that issue with OBS. Literally for no reason too! You really can't do much when it does it randomly tells you recommended settings are 480p one second and 720p 60 the next. Twitch studios is supposed to be easier, but I had random bitrate drops and lag when using it. It uses more CPU and such compared to OBS, for me at least. Twitch studios isn't as great as you might think. Thanks to /u/iTruthful and Conceptional for the art!
